On the 28th May, a team led by Dortechs Managing Director, James Sutherland will embark on a 900 mile cycle over the course of six days (150 miles each day) to raise money for The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. The aim is to raise over £10,000 to contribute towards the excellent work the charity carries out both inside and outside the Hospice.

The route will take the team from Land’s End to John O’Groats over tough terrain incorporating over 10,000meters of cumulative climbs. Traditionally, teams take two weeks to complete this feat or conduct the event as part of a relay, however in this case every mile of the epic journey will be ridden by the team of four.

James’ team includes; Andrew Bell from Wates Construction, Craig Turner from Senior Architectural Systems (SAS) and Richard Rae from Balfour Beatty Construction Northern. The team will also be accompanied on the final ten miles of each day for morale support by Dortech’s Chairman, Steve Sutherland (pictured far left) and SAS’s Operations Director, Mark Wadsworth (pictured far right)
