Dortech has been working for BAM for over 15 years and during this time has delivered over £17.8 million worth of architectural glazing systems products on their sites. It is great to work for a company like BAM that values and works with their supply chain in true partnership.

We were delighted to have been appointed by BAM Construction to deliver the curtain walling, aluminium entrance doors and windows to two large schools, located in Hull, which have recently completed.

Withernsea High School was a large scale refurbishment project, designed by Bond Bryan Architects, containing over 1,600m2 of architectural glazing products.

Wolfreton was a new build school, designed by Ryder Architecture, containing over 1,300m2 of architectural glazing.

Dortech utilised Senior Architectural Systems revolutionary new PURe aluminium window system, which uses an enhanced thermal barrier manufactured from expanded polyurethane (PUR), to allow ultra-low U-values to be achieved.

This system was selected due to its versatility and the fact that it is 100% recyclable and had originally been designed to meet the Passivhaus standard.

High performance SKN 70/37 glass was used throughout the installation.

It was a pleasure to work with the BAM team to see these two fantastic scheme right through, from design to completion!
